About me as a director…

I have been directing theatre for over 20 years, since completing my MA in directing at the Université du Québec À Montréal. I enjoy directing adaptations and inventive approaches to the classics, such as my playful adaptation of Antony and Cleopatra for a Company of Fools and experimental four-person Romeo & Juliet Redux for Plosive Productions. I serve as Plosive’s Artistic Director and have directed many of its productions (see plosive.ca)

I directed my first show while studying acting at Ryerson Theatre School, and went on to make directing my focus while completing my BA at the University of Guelph, studying directing with Judith Thompson and Harry Lane. I continued this training at UQAM with Michel Marc Bouchard and Serge Ouaknine as teachers, and subsequently assistant directed for Micheline Chevrier, John P. Kelly and Steve Scott of the prestigious Goodman Theatre in Chicago.
